This project was inspired by the classic horror video game Silent Hill designed in the within the context of a workshop. Grimy texturing and disturbing modelling create a atmospheric horror scene.  A plethora of assets were created for this scene, including tools, cages, bones, an electric chair, a body under a sheet, an old style tv and more.

Design Process

Parts were modelled in Maya and textured using Substance Painter. A block out of the scene was created to ensure parts were placed in correct The parts were then assembled and rendered  in Unreal Engine. I created custom brushes to create consistent grime and blood patterns. Additionally several effects were added to the scene including fog and a moving static tv.

Each asset was created to add a narrative element to the overall theme. The posters on the walls create the feeling of being watched and follows while the dirty electric chair, trash bags and cloth covered body suggest that something has previously occurred in the workshop.
